This policy explains what personal information Justworx LLC ("Justworx", "we", "us") collects when you use justworx.com, the Justworx Store at store.justworx.com, and Jax, our AI assistant. It also explains what we do with that information and the choices you have.
The Justworx platform apps (Studio, Connect and the Justworx Home app) are covered by their own terms and privacy notices.
Who we are

What we collect

We don't use advertising trackers or analytics cookies, and we don't sell your personal information.
Our legal basis
Where data protection law such as the UK or EU GDPR applies, we rely on:
- Contract: to process your order and run your account.
- Legal obligation: to keep accounting and tax records.
- Legitimate interests: to keep the site and Jax secure, to prevent fraud, and to improve our services.
- Consent: for marketing emails. You can withdraw it at any time.
Jax, our AI assistant
Jax is an AI. Your messages are sent to Anthropic, which runs the language model behind Jax, to produce replies. Conversations are kept for Anthropic's standard retention period for business customers of its API, and our own record of them for no longer than that. We use them to stop abuse and improve Jax. Please don't share sensitive personal information in a chat. Jax can make mistakes, so check anything important with our team.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with providers who help us run our services, under contracts that limit what they can do with it:
- Stripe, for payments.
- Anthropic, for Jax.
- Resend, to send order and account emails.
- Cloudflare, for network delivery and security.
- Microsoft Azure, to host the website.
- Delivery carriers, with your name, delivery address and phone number, to deliver your order.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect our rights or people's safety.
International transfers
Some of these providers process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where the law requires it, we rely on safeguards such as the standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Orders: 7 years, because accounting law requires it. After 2 years we remove the delivery address and phone number from the order and keep only what the records need.
- Store accounts: until you delete your account. Your orders are then kept as above, without your account details.
- Jax conversations: Anthropic's standard retention period for business customers of its API.
- Emails to us: as long as needed to deal with your request.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask to see, correct, delete or export your personal information, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent. If you have a store account, you can download your data and delete your account yourself on the account page. For anything else, email privacy@justworx.com. We'll reply within one month.
You can also complain to your data protection authority, such as the Information Commissioner's Office in the UK.
Storage in your browser
The site and the store don't set cookies. They keep a few items in your browser's local storage so they work: your cart, your chosen currency and language, your sign-in session, and your current Jax conversation (cleared when you close the tab). Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie to protect the site from attacks.
Security
We use encrypted connections throughout, keep passwords only in protected form, and keep card details out of our systems entirely by using Stripe's hosted checkout.
Children
Our services are not meant for children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change matters, we'll say so on the site or email account holders.
